Victor Creed, the mutant known as Sabretooth, has been called the ultimate assassin, and with good reason. The group needs the Canadian mutant because only Wolverine has access to a device called the C-Synthesizer which can stabilize the villain known as Omega Red's death factor and allow him to work for the Hand without having to drain the life force of others. Only Sabretooth's incredible animalistic sense can track Wolverine after he has escaped with the aid of his old ally, Maverick. After Sabretooth finds and confronts his two former partners, it appears that he has defeated them and will bring them back to his employers so he can collect his paycheck.
