Custom Framed - BLONDIE - ORIGINAL ART - HAND SIGNED by DEAN YOUNG. This is the original art from the daily strip, dated 10/17/1989. Actual art size is approximately 15" x 5". Blondie is an American comic strip created by cartoonist Chic Young. The comic strip is distributed by King Features Syndicate, and has been published in newspapers since September 8, 1930. Dean Wayne Young is the head writer of the popular comic strip Blondie, which he inherited from his father Chic Young, who died in 1973. Included with the framed original art is the original HAND SIGNED donation letter, on Dean Young's letterhead. The letter we show in the photos has some specific information digitally blacked out to protect the Addressee and Addressor, as well as keep some information confidential to protect the authenticity of the letter and the artwork. The actual original letter, which you will receive with purchase does not have the black mark-outs on it. We have seen these letters sell on their own as historical collectibles. The letter itself has some unique markings on it that we believe the Buyer will enjoy, not to mention the original signature and the provenance declaration for the artwork itself.
